2. What we do NOT use

3. Managing cookies
You can clear cookies anytime in your browser settings. Declining strictly-necessary cookies will break admin login and checkout. Consent state is stored in localStorage under key nmpro.cookie-consent.
4. Desktop app: reading your browser's cookie store
The section above covers cookies this website sets in your browser. Separately, the NetInsightPro desktop app includes an optional Cookie & Tracker Privacy feature (Pro tier; Windows and Linux). When you enable it, the app reads the cookie stores the browsers on your device have already created, so it can show you an inventory of cookies and flag known trackers.
- It reads metadata only — cookie name, site/domain, path, dates, approximate size, and flags — and never reads or decrypts the value (contents) of any cookie.
- All processing is on your device; the inventory, cookie names, and domains are never sent to us.
- Tracker classification uses bundled public reference lists: the Open Cookie Database (Apache-2.0) and EasyPrivacy (GPLv3 and CC-BY-SA 3.0).
- You can block a tracker's host in one click via your machine's local firewall (Windows in this release). The feature does not delete cookies.
